This morning’s lunar eclipse (unfortunately my telescope couldn’t capture the blood red afterward).

While I gear up for Tuesday’s lunar eclipse, here’s a recent photo of the Orion Nebula (I have much to learn about post-processing my astrophotography).

Keeping with pictures of Orion, for comparison sake I compared my view from Toronto (Bortle 8-9) with a spot just outside Huntsville, Ontario (Bortle 3). Same smartphone camera: Pixel 4 Astrophotography mode.

Hello Mastodon. Clear skies in Toronto last night so I took a picture of Orion and its nebula. This is from my backyard, steps from a 12 lane highway (so, poor seeing conditions).
