So this particular install of Mastodon is interesting -- it looks more like Twitter's interface (and, for that matter, GNU social) than the "Tweet Deck" style I've seen elsewhere. Was that done on purpose?
@robertwgehl that seems to be the case. For some reason, some toots in my home timeline aren't showing in the local timeline. Let me know if you have any insights.

@robertwgehl yep. posts need to be set for "public" to show up in the local and federated timelines.
@ggow Gotcha. I might keep it like this -- I actually prefer it to the tootsuite style.
Is the single-stream view set by default for new users?
