how do we want to go about addressing policy changes and administering 'strikes' for breaching guidelines? Someone mentioned earlier that these types of things should be decided by "democracy" of sorts, and I definitely agree since it's a community. Do we want to have some select people as "moderators" who can facilitate community resolutions? Or do we want more of an equality-based approach where every person is in charge of addressing problematic behaviour they come across?

@teyplays i think we can have both of the suggestions you have put together. like the moderators could be maybe those who founded the community and the first people there and they could help organize when we have to do votes and make decisions and such (maybe this group could have final say in big decisions perhaps) but everyone should also be monitoring for problematic behaviour at the same time since its everyone’s responsibility to keep it a safe and fun space.

@rochehid @teyplays I like the idea of the equality-based approach. Just to keep everyone involved and actively participate so we reduce as much bias as possible.

@jjk99 @rochehid Jenny makes a great point about reducing bias. Perhaps the moderators could be the club founders like Ana suggested, but they have equal voting power? So the extra support is available to start conversations about making changes and help resolve more complicated interpersonal issues, but otherwise, everyone has equal footing.

@teyplays @jjk99 yeah i like equal voting power! i kinda think of it as a council of elders who are there for extra wisdom lol

@rochehid @jjk99 haha I love that mental image! I think I'll list the "moderation council" on my write-up 😆 (/hj)
