@teyplays @jjk99 yeah i like equal voting power! i kinda think of it as a council of elders who are there for extra wisdom lol

@teyplays i think we can have both of the suggestions you have put together. like the moderators could be maybe those who founded the community and the first people there and they could help organize when we have to do votes and make decisions and such (maybe this group could have final say in big decisions perhaps) but everyone should also be monitoring for problematic behaviour at the same time since its everyone’s responsibility to keep it a safe and fun space.

@teyplays @dorisweetie ohhh okay i understand now i had misunderstood sorry everyone for the confusion. i stand by my earlier point about donations😅

@teyplays @dorisweetie wait i thought by the costs we meant operating costs like how much it is to run mastodon itself and how that affects usage of the platform?

@dorisweetie we should definitely consider that! i meant what do you mean that we get benefits by using the platform i didnt understand i’m kind of confused haha

maybe it could be a sort of wikipedia or internet archive situation where people can donate if possible

maybe we could include the inability to create a group chat with each other in our reports? i haven’t been able to figure out how to if there is a way. and i agree with the strike system! i feel it could be a collective decision a democracy of some sorts haha. also i’m sorry for not being very active i’ve been working on some papers that are due earlier 😬i promise to be on more tmr!!!

@jjk99 all good!! i think we talked on discord earlier today!

i’m not sure if we’ve decided anything but what if for the photo gallery we took and discussed photos of the city and how they are a representation of city life and the urban environment in which we live?? let me know!! @keltyn @teyplays @jjk99 also let me know if i should tag anyone else i’m not sure who else is working on this as well !!! :)))))

This is an instance of Mastodon at the University of Alberta. We are using this instance mainly for testing, but we welcome those who want to learn more about open source social media.
