so #mst210, how would we like to decide on some guidelines? I think I will brainstorm some ideas today and post a picture of what I come up with? if we all make some suggestions, then we can discuss what would make the most sense.
One community rule I think we should definitely consider is in regards to "ownership" of the photos (i.e. who has the right to use/distribute photos submitted to the exhibition). And the more obvious rules about having mutual respect between club members.
@teyplays Hi, tea! I also plan to do option B for the final project. I think the biggest difference from the surveillance capitalism of Facebook and Twitter is that Mastodon will not use user data for commercial purposes. However, in order to prevent users from publishing bad content to pollute common areas, we need to formulate some penalties or measures to control users' bad content. I haven't start the writing yet, so I still have no idea about specific guidelines.
@dorisweetie I totally agree! My thinking was maybe if we have a strike system of some sort? Like there are obvious things that should result in expulsion (i.e. illegal content, hate speech, etc.). But for things like interpersonal conflict, rude messages, spam, etc. maybe if we focussed on mediation & community resolution? It could be conducted using the private direct message system by just tagging the affected parties to mediate a discussion #mst210
@teyplays Yeah, I love the point you said about strike system! like forcibly block the user's account? For personal conflict, rude messages, maybe we can set some forbidden words?
@teyplays @dorisweetie love utilization of the content warning system Tea!!
