Federated, which would be other Masto instances that our instance is federated with. We aren't federated yet, so you'll only see our stuff there at the moment. I'm actually not sure how to implement federation, so we're looking into it.
This is an instance of Mastodon at the University of Alberta. We are using this instance mainly for testing, but we welcome those who want to learn more about open source social media.
