@Fransiska you will see three timelines on Mastodon. Your home timeline (those you follow), the local timeline (all public posts on this instance) and a federated timeline (posts from other Mastodon instances that we have federated with ... we're still figuring out how federation actually works.)
@ggow most of my federated posts are in different languages (mostly Japanese) Now I am wishing I had learned it when I had the chance 😅
